I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Tonight I think I will start putting out our Christmas decorations. We don't have to many, so I may have to start making some :)
A Quilt for Lovelyn
During my little Thanksgiving vacation up north I had sometime time to work on a quick little car seat quilt for my new niece, Lovelyn Hope.
Lovelyn was born on Wednesday evening, and has 6 proud sisters and brothers!!!! I officially have a total of 18 nieces and nephews, and they are such a blessing! Most of they do not have any quilts, since I only began recently, but maybe someday I can catch up.
For Lovelyn's quilt, I used a charm pack of Verona and some coordinating Kona Charms. For the backing I used this fuzzy corduroy fabric not really sure what it is to be honest, but it is comfy.
I was only able to piece and baste the quilt while I was gone, but today I finished quilting it with flowers and loop-de-do's. I just need to add a special tag and I will be shipping it off.
Pillow Talk Swap
I participated in Round 9 of the Pillow Talk Swap on Flickr. You all saw the pillow that I made for my partner, but I wanted to show you the AMAZING pillow that I received in the mail yesterday.
I was so anxious to check the mail, we got home around 9pm and I ran to the box, because I had a feeling that my pillow was waiting for me. Sure enough there was a package and it was my pillow. I really really love this pillow.
Solidia also known as modernsewl on Flickr was my partner and she really hit the nail on the head with this pillow. In our questionnaire I had mentioned that I really love solids, bright colors, and text prints.
She also included some text fabrics and goodies for me! Thank you SO much Solidia!
The Pillow Talk Swap was incredibly fun, and I can't wait for Round 10!
Last thing for today, I am wondering how many of you Pile O' Fabric readers are going to Quilt Con?
I would like to put together a Quilt Con Swap, and was wondering how many of you would be interested. Below is a poll for you to fill out :)
Have a wonderful Saturday!
