Notting Hill FQ Bundle & Patterns // Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day!

Welcome to Pile O' Fabric for Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day! I am so thankful for this event. Many of you have found me in past Sew Mama Sew giveaways and are now readers. Not only do we get a chance to win some amazing prizes, but we get to build readership and find new blogs to follow. It is truly a brilliant idea. Thank you Kristen and Beth at Sew Mama Sew!

Website Issue

Today is a bit of a difficult day for me. All weekend I have worked on moving over my blog to Wordpress and giving it a facelift (due to issues with my past host Squarespace). After I finished and the hosting company ran into an issue with the server DNS. Because of this no one will be able to access my blog using my url http://blog.pileofabric.com for 7-10 days. When they told me I just about had a heart attack. Despite all efforts it cannot be resolved until then. :( This will probably mess up my RSS feed too. So if you want to keep in touch with Pile O' Fabric for the next week you can acess it at http://blog.pileofabric.com or subscribe to receive email post updates. Because, of this I will postpone my planned posts for this week to next week so no one misses anything good. Sorry folks :(

WHat I would like it to make a serious dent in my WIP. But with a beautiful weather forecast my little ones no doubt will see that differently. To me it really then becomes a win-win situation.

For quick weekend sewing, I’ll grab a little “gift project”, like a zippered bag or pouch, little covered notebook, pretty tote bag or quilted bag/purse, or even interesting hotpads, snack mats, or a table runner!
I like to pull together stash fabrics I’d like to use in a gift, cut the pieces needed, and bag up my own “kits”… . Then, when I have some spare moments to sew, I can just grab a gift project “kit” (everything needed is there… fabric, thread, pattern) and sew away!
(I like to keep a little stash of ready-to-go gifts for friends and family!)
    Thanks for asking!!… Good question!

    Hi Alyssa,
    what a nightmare!

    Tina

I struggle with my blog, so I am sorry to hear of your troubles. Mine are purely lack of experience and application.
For quick weekend projects, I either run up a pair of pyjamas for one of my family, or spend Saturday piecing and Sunday quilting an easy one block lap quilt. Well, that’s my ambition anyway; very rarely does anyone get two consecutive free days!

I’m not one for quick projects but trying to become so by making clothes for my two little girls
