Catch Up // Skill Builder BOM

How many Skill Builder blocks have you completed? It’s time to catch up! You will be very happy once you have your finished quilt in December. Plus if you finish your 2013 quilt than you will have lots of time to join in on Skill Builder BOM 2014 :). We have two more blocks left, Strip Triangle and Starlight. I have decided to reschedule the Block Lesson to Halloween. This gives me a bit more time to spend with my family before I leave for Quilt Market.

In the meantime while you wait for the next lesson I would love to see you catch up on some of your other blocks. Are you stuck on any blocks in particular? Perhaps, the Diamond Cart or Chev N’ Hex? I check in on Flickr on a regular basis, but frankly I am annoyed with Flickrs new UI design which is the reason I have been quieter on the group.

Skill Builder Link Ups!

With hopes to give you a little motivation to get your blocks finished I decided to add “Link Ups” to each Skill Builder Block Lesson. I would love it if you would visit each Block Lesson post and link up an image of your finished blocks for that lesson. Here’s how:

Visit each Block Lesson page, scroll to the bottom of the post and look for the blue “Add your Link” button. Click on the button and upload a picture of your block (you will need to add two links, one for each block per lesson). Do this for all the lessons. You only need to link up a finished block, quilting isn’t required because some of you are quilting later.

I will leave these link up’s open through December 11th. Everyone who links up all 20 finished blocks will be entered for a chance to win some great prizes. Then we will have another final Grand Prize drawing in January for those who link up finished quilts. Sound good?!

So get to work on those blocks and let me know if you need any help!

Oh I am so behind! 6 blocks left to piece, and I have only quilted 6 of the 16 blocks I have finished piecing! Trying to work out if it is physically possible to get them finished by the 11th, but I don’t think its going to happen as I have 2 important meetings, a seminar, two nativity plays, a christmas shop to organise and a builder coming to install a log burner, all in the next 3 days……….nooooooooo. But I am determined to finish my quilt in January so I will be making sure I get lots of evenings to sew over the Christmas break. xx
