Sew, Mama, Sew! Fat Quarter Idol Challenge

One of the blogs I really enjoy following is Sew,Mama,Sew! It is filled with Tutorials, Patterns, and they have an online store and forum. So if you are looking for more great resources this is a great place to go. Yesterday they annouced a new activity called the Fat Quarter Idol.

Each week Sew,Mama,Sew! will annouce a theme of the week on their blog, you will have the opportunity to pick 12 fabrics from Sew,Mama,Sew! online shop to create the perfect fat quarter pack for the theme of the week. Then using Pinterest you can create a board with the fabrics you chose. Winners will be promoted and fully credited on their blog, you get to see your pack for sale in their shop, plus they will send you one of your packs for free! Is this not the most brilliant idea or what!

For me the two most difficult steps of creating a quilt are choosing the fabric and choosing what design to quilt. So I am going to make this weekly challenge an opportunity to help me become better at choosing fabrics and creating coordinating collections for my quilts. Each week I will share my choices and hopefully each week I get better! I will let you be the judge. And who knows maybe I will be the next Fat Quarter Idol!

Check out Fat Quarter Idol at Sew,Mama,Sew! for offical rules and information.
