Patchwork Prism Quilt, Planning Colors

On Friday I got my Kona Charm Packs in the mail from the Fat Quarter Shop, so this weekend I spent time arranging my colors and planning my layout for the Patchwork Prism Quilt.

This is definitely going to be one of those projects that takes a lot of planning and brainstorming! I arranged the colors into groups using my Kona Color card as a guide, and then started to plan out my pattern.

Once I had the color partially in order, I decided to start playing with the color on my design wall to figure out how much I had of each color set and how much I would need. I don't want to cut them into the triangles until Im sure which colors I want to use, that way I don't waste any of my Kona on a piece I wont use.

After playing around with this for the whole weekend, I realized I would need to change the order of the color in the pattern to accommodate the amount of fabric I have. So my new order from center to outside will be brown, golds, greens, blues, purples & reds. I will need to place another order for some charm packs to help with my red ands purples and I should be set!
