Patchwork Prism Quilt Progress and W.i.P. Wednesday

Today I join Freshly Pieced for W.i.P. Wednesday to share with you my progress with the Patchwork Prism Quilt. For the last few days I have been taking time to organize the colors for this quilt. I pretty much stare at my design wall, move some colors around, step back, walk away, come back, move some colors, and so on. Yesterday I felt good about the order of the colors, so I decided to start cutting my triangles.

Since I am using 5" x 5" charm squares I needed to size the pattern down in half. So with a little math and some photoshop work, I had new templates. The challenge with this though is I am working with some seriously small little pieces. So getting acurate cuts, and seam allowances will be a must!

I just took one row at a time and started cutting! Here is the progress I have made so far…

Next up is the blues!

So what do you guys think? I find that I like it better if I stand far away.

This week I also am working on planning a block for a new 3x6 Bee I have joined, and I am planning for Mother's day gifts! This year Mother's day falls on my Birthday, so double the fun for me! :) If you are visiting from W.i.P. Wednesday Welcome to Pile O' Fabric!
