So today has been a Sew, Sew, Saturday, yes lots of sewing projects in the works. I wanted to stop by and thank everyone who has visited and participated in my Kona Cotton Charm Pack Giveaway an remind everyone that today is the last day to enter you have till 12 p.m. I will announce the winner sometime tomorrow morning. I also wanted to share with you what I have been working on today.
I went to check the mail, and was pleasantly surprised to find a box from Amazon. It was a wonderful birthday gift from my oldest Sister Sherrana. Two new quilting books!! Little Bits Quilting Bee by Kathreen Ricketson and Modern Blocks Compiled by Susanne Woods. These could not be more timely and perfect choices for me! Last night I sat down to start coming up with ideas for my bee blocks and was stuck. But, now Im inspired and ready to get to it!
I also made some progress on my Patchwork Prism Quilt. I arranged the purples and reds, and finally have everything cut out and ready to piece. I'm not sure how long I will procrastinate piecing, I am a bit intimidated. Since I sized the quilt down in half the pieces are so small, and every seem must be really accurate. Very scary.
Now I have to come up with some brilliant plan for the massive amount of itty bitty scraps this project has produced. Any ideas?
Well, I'm off to read my wonderful new books, and to get some grub!
