Adding to My Google Reader
SMS Giveaway's are officially over and winners announced, I didn't win anything, but I did find some really neat blogs to add to my reader! Today I'd like to share a little about these blogs.
First off I just wanted to mention that between the massive amount of wonderful comments you all left to the huge list of giveaways, I didn't have a ton of time to look through everyones blogs. So if I missed you, I am sorry! But, you can head on over to the Pile O' Fabric Flickr Group, I have started a new discussion for us all to share a little about ourselves and blog if you have one.
When I was entering giveaway's I tried to take time to actually look through each blog, and here are some of the blogs I found.
I met Erica, right about the same time SMS Giveaway started. She is my Wish at do.Good Stitches leader and I am really looking forward to getting to know her! Erica is a stay-at-home mom of 2, and a fabric lover just like me. Her blog focuses mostly on Quilting, and she was recently featured in Fat Quarterly issue 9 for Kids issue for her super cute Scallop Quilt.
Heidi is a wife, mother of three, and now amateur quilter. She is participating in the Let's Get Acquainted Blog Hop along with me and I didn't plan it this way, but today just so happens to be her day on the blog hop! She makes tons of super awesome purses and bags, like her Flea Market Fancy Nana Bag, I'd love to have that. She also volunteers to write book reviews for C&T Publishing, her most recent being one of my all time favorite books The Practical Guide to Patchwork.
Kate is a wife, mother of three super cute little ones, an avid quilter, and a speech pathologist. She is a fabulous Quilt Designer and has some awesome patterns! One of my favorites is called Gathered In. She also takes really fun pictures with donkeys, Kate has been nominated as one of the finalist of the Best Quilt Photographer category in the Blogger's Quilt Festival you can vote for her here.
Jessica loves to quilt, sew and craft among other things. If you are following the Summer Sewing Contest Blog Hop than you may have seen her Summer Scoops Scallop Quilt, which is beautiful! She has a galleries for each year since 2010, and each is filled with talent and inspiration!
Jenny is a curves master, and long-arm quilter. When I found her blog I got so excited, because one of the things I really want to get good at is Curved Piecing. I found her urban 9 patch tutorial and was sooooo excited. I can guarantee I will be making a quilt with these blocks! She has been nominated as one of the finalist in the Professionally Quilted Category of the Blogger's Quilt Festival, you can vote for her here.
Jodi is a mother, wife, historian, creator and coffee addict. First off she has one seriously cute website! She blogs about a broad range of sewing and about her family. One of my favorites is her drawstring play mat. What a brilliant idea! Jodi is also participating in Let's Get Acquainted Blog Hop, and it will be her turn this Thursday!
Taryn is a former graphic designer, and fabric hoarder, who just recently started sewing. Being a graphic designer she has a super cute website! We are participating together in the Let's Get Acquainted Blog Hop, Patchwork Prism QAL, and Rachel Hauser's Hand-stitched Class. I love her recent finish the Charming Stars.
When I was searching through these ladies sites I was excited to see that three of them were participating in the Let's Get Acquainted Blog Hop. If you haven't been following it yet, this is going to be one seriously awesome blog hop! Do you like finding new talent and blogs to follow? Do you love tutorials?
