What are your plans for this Labor Day Weekend? I am hoping to get a lot of sewing done! Here are the projects on my to do list.
Finish 24 Granny Square Blocks. I am participating in a quilting bee called Not Your Granny's Bee, we have been assigned colors mine were Orange and Red. We are supposed to make 24 granny blocks total 8 in Kona Charcoal, 8 in Kona Snow, and 8 in Kona White. When I am done I will be sending my 24 blocks to the hostess and she will swap all the blocks. I chose the Kona charcoal so she will return 24 charcoal and assorted colored blocks back! How fun! I can't wait to make this quilt I really love these blocks. I have already finished the charcoal blocks and I have the strip piecing and cutting done for the snow and white. We are using Katy's strip piecing tutorial which is SO fantastic.
Next up I'd like to make some significant progress on my Groove Quilt. Gotta catch up with all you speedy folks out there with your quilt tops DONE!
I want to finish my hand embroidery on this hoop art gift for my best friend who will be getting married in two weeks.
Remeber this? Yes, still working on it, so I would like to finish piecing the border, and my embroidery is almost done I have gotten a lot of it done since this photo.
So I should probably stop there because that is a ton of work, but I'd also like to also baste my Westminster Quilt, cut my charms for the Modern Designer Charm Swap I am participating in, work on my Bee Blocks for do.Good Stitches, and well I could go on all day! But, I also am going to be making time to do some Labor Day Sale Shopping!
