September Pin It, Sew It! Link Up

For the month of September I was able to make something I have been wanting to do for a while now. I have a ton of app's for to do lists and such, but when it comes down to it I have to have my good ole' Monthly Planner. I've been meaning to make a nice cover for it, but have been crazy busy. Then Rachel at Stitched in Color posted her much anticipated Journal Cover Tutorial, and I immediately pinned it to my Pin It, Sew It board.

Journal Cover Tutorial by Rachel Hauser at Stitched in Color

Her tutorial is for covering a composition notebook, so I had to play with the measurements and size a bit to make it fit. It ended up being a bit too tight, so I cut my notebook down. Way easier than ripping stitched out :) I decided to use up some of a Jelly Roll I had which made it super easy! Just like Rachel said these are addicting, I plan on making many more!

Official Rules

To participate create a new board on your Pinterest account called Pin it, Sew it!. Then pin all items you seriously want to sew to that board every month. These could be tutorials you have found on the web, patterns you want to purchase, etc.

Then create a board called Pin it, Sew it, I did it! where you will post photos of items you have accomplished from your Pin it, Sew it! board.

When creating new pins please add the hash tag #pinitsewit to the end of your descriptions, so I can see all your lovely pins. (example)

On the 1st of every month I will post the Pin It, Sew It! Link up here at Pile O' Fabric. You can link up to your Pin It, Sew It, I did it! board or a specific pin, or a flickr photo, or even better a blog post talking about your Pin It, Sew It! accomplishments. I realize there are a lot of link ups on the first of the month so feel free to put this in a post for another link up and just reference which item was for Pin It, Sew It! and use the Pin it, Sew it! button.

The linky will remain open for 1 week each month to give you all some time. Just like other linky parties, you will visit the two people who link up before you and share some encouraging comment love :)

So let the fun begin, time to start conquering some of those pins and of course your big fat Pile O' Fabric! Try and share this linky with one other friend, the more the merrier!

Can't wait to see what you make!
