Fussy Cut Hexie Placemats for the Winter Fun Challenge
Considering it is already November, I figured it was about time I finished up posting about our Winter Fun contest winners projects. With Christmas right around the corner these projects are perfect!
Our first winner was Rhonda who made a super cute mini twister quilt which you can read about here. Today I would like to share Kimberlee's Winter Fun project with you. And tomorrow we will have a look at Jennifer's Mini Granny Quilt.
Meet Kimberlee
I am a homeschooling mom to an 11YO boy and 7 YO girl, who are constantly asking me to sew them something. I use to be into paper crafting and when sewing on cards and scrapbook pages became trendy 8 years ago, I took a sewing class so that I wouldn't get so frustrated trying to figure out how to use a machine (that helped only a little... a new machine helped even more, thanks Mom!). Then I had motives to become a quilter like my granny. As it turns out, I'm not that interested in making quilts. I prefer to sew projects that can be completed in a few hours and that make perfect gifts for loved ones.
What She Made

Kimberlee made some adorable Fussy Cut Hexie Placemats! I really love that she used one animal per placemat. I think it would be super fun to assign each person in your family an animal that they always use :)
