Piecing Courthouse Step Log Cabin Blocks // In the "Studio"

This post is part of an ongoing video series called In the "Studio". Step into my sewing "Studio" and see what I have sewed. Also link up your current works in progress. See all episodes. This week for In the "Studio" episode #7, I made two courthouse step log cabin quilt blocks for the Do.Good Stitches charity quilting bee I take part in. Piecing courthouse step log cabin blocks.

These are super easy and fun blocks to make!

What are you working on this week In the "Studio"?

I would love to see what you're working on. Share a link to a photo of one of your current projects in a comment on this post.

These are my little creation from yesterday, today I have a few love blocks for healing quilts and an apron to make along with my handquilting my storm at sea quilt, the courthouse blocks always look great

Thanks for the video! It is always so interesting to see other people in action :) I was wondering what type of iron you were using? I love that you have it set up right next to your sewing machine but my iron is to large for that. I’m afraid I would knock it over.

    Thanks again,

Such FUN!! I loved seeing some of the fabrics I bought from your sale going into this quilt. The fabrics came today and I’m very pleased. Thanks for sharing your stash!

I’m currently working on a foundation paper-pieced project I purchased years ago. It’s called Summer Nights Hollyhocks and is by Designer’s Workshop. It’s got lots of little pieces but is so fun to put together. Here’s the link to the pattern.

I’ve made several log cabins over the years and love the versatility of the pattern. They are beautiful quilts.

I’ve yet to do a log cabin or court house steps but it’s on my list. I love these snippets and the music you put with them just makes me happy. :o)
