Working on a Christmas Celestial Quilt

Remember last week I shared about my work in progress projects? Well don't tell, but I just added another project to that list.

Now that the seasons are changing I am in a holiday sewing mood, this weeks Christmas themed stash bundle pushed me over the edge and now I am making a Christmas quilt.

As much as I love designing my own quilts, I really enjoy the relaxing experience of just following someone else's pattern. For this project I am making the Celestial quilt by Alison Glass and Nydia Kehnle.

My plan is to use the Christmas Spirit bundle in prints and solids for the stars and then an assortment of low volume cream prints from my stash for the background of the quilt.

I have only made two of the A star blocks so far. I am assuming I wont have this quilt finished for 2014 Christmas, but we shall see!

How soon do you start working on Christmas projects?
